NYI® operates in upstate NY, in Albany, Columbia, Delaware, Essex, Fulton, Greene, Montgomery, Saratoga, Schenectady, Schoharie, Rensellaer, Warren, and Washington counties. That's over 10,000 square miles!

To provide such extensive services to such a large area, we have multiple inspectors. And at NYI®, we believe you deserve the best inspector you can get. We invest a great deal of time and money to train our inspectors. The inspectors at our NYI®, must:

• Pass the National Home Inspector Examination
• Become licensed by New York State
• Receive regular periodic training in Identification of Wood Destroying Insects (ie. termites, etc.)
• Pass the EPA-designed course on Radon testing (RMP) (including the written exam)
• Join ASHI (American Society of Home Inspectors), and pass its multiple closed book written exams to be a senior inspector.
• Perform an internship with senior inspectors.
• Continue their education by attending additional technical seminars each year
• Undergo periodic quality reviews by senior inspectors
